The advantages and disadvantages
of a surgical snoring procedure*
Pros:
- You can rely on 30 years of surgical experience.
- With proven medical indication the insurance covers all costs.
- A single operative procedure can often improve the problems remarkably.
- The operation is focused on freeing the patient of annoying technical aids/tools (cPAP-Mask, Mouth-piece, Nasal spreader etc.).
- A small surgical intervention can often improve the quality of life, empower ones own capacity and improve the quality of night sleep.
- Not only will the patient improve after a surgical intervention, but also their partner will happily discover that their nights are no longer disturbed.
Cons:
- If there is no medical indication, the operation will be a self-paying one. We are happy to offer consultation in such cases!
- The operation mostly requires a 1-2 day period of hostpitalisation. To limit missed days from work, we include the weekend in the postoperative healing period. Thus you don´t miss much.
- Patients not living in Zürich will have to travel, but the inconvenience of this travel will allow you to avail of the whole spectrum of sleep-surgery. For that reason the journey is worth it.
